Inside Eye

My intention with this page is to show you how I finished the eyes on these masks.

To start the eyes, I drilled out as much excess material as I could. Drilling these holes saves you a lot of time on the next step.

Dremeling the eyes out. I also cleaned up the edges around the back side of the mask.

This is an inside image of they eyes after they were dremeled out. You can see that there are some grayish areas surrounding the eyes. This is some excess material that I also removed because the plastic was kind of thick there.

These are three different materials that I am considering to darken the inside of the eyes. All three of these materials are perforated. The material on the left is metal speaker grill. Obviously, this came from a speaker. The middle item is a piece of plastic that I pulled out of a computer that broke. The material on the right is the screen out of a camping tent that my family threw away. I really like the metallic satin look of the metal speaker grill inside the eye.

As you can see, the inside of this mask is a little different. This is the original mask I cast my other masks off of. Regardless, I just hot gules the speaker grill material over the backs of the eye holes.
